Featured question: Why is plastic pollution an environmental problem?
Batch cooking is more environmentally friendly, because it takes less time and energy to reheat food that has already been cooked. The American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy promote batch-cooking as a means of reducing energy usage. It’s also cheaper and much less time-consuming, and can help to reduce food waste if you use up ingredients by cooking larger portions.
