I presume that because they are made from card, they can be recycled. But is this still true if they have plastic decorations on, for example?

Yes, in general, Christmas cards are made from paper products and so can be recycled. However, those that are covered in glitter or decorated in a certain way (such as using glue or plastic products) are unlikely to be recyclable. You can check your local council’s website for further information or have a look at “Greetings Cards” (Recyclenow.com, 2019).
